Nirbhaya gang-rape convict Mukesh Singh seeks urgent hearing in SC against mercy plea rejection

Mukesh Singh, one of the four death row convicts in the 2012 Delhi gang-rape case, has sought an urgent hearing in the Supreme Court on his plea against the dismissal of his mercy plea by President Ram Nath Kovind. Mukesh had moved the top court on Saturday challenging the rejection of his mercy plea by President Kovind, who rejected his petition on January 17 within a span of just four days, which is a record.
