Maharashtra records highest number of missing women: NCRB

NCRB stated that the highest number of women and children who go missing in the country are from Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh respectively. Maximum number of cases of missing women and children was Maharashtra and MP respectively.In 2019, the Supreme Court had directed National Crime Records Bureau to identify and check those areas which are prone to persons being trafficked. The report covers 2016, 2017 and 2018.
