Mumbai man loses Rs 48,000 after calling 'RBI helpline' to change demonetized currency

Vijay Kumar Marwa, a resident of Mumbai had Rs 7,000 in demonetized currency. He search for RBI helpline number to know how to exchange it and found a number that is fake. Upon calling the 'RBI helpline' number that he found on internet they asked him for his credit card credentials. Rs 48,000 have been transferred from his account immediately. He had lodged a complaint in the police station on 6th January.
