Akkiraju Haragopal, a top CPI Maoist leader, is believed to have died in the forests of Chhattisgarh's Bastar. Also known as Ramakrishna, the Maoist had a collective bounty of Rs. 1 crore on his head. Haragopal also participated in the peace talks with the Andhra Government in 2004. He was unwell for a few days but the exact reason behind his death is not known yet. He was a part of several attacks and ambushes by the Maoists.
