Man accused of sexual harassment found dead in prison cell

21-year-old Ramavath Chander, a school teacher was arrested for sexually abusing a minor girl and just a day after he was remanded to judicial custody he took his life in the Cherlapally prison cell. His inmates found him hanging to the toilet ventilator. His body was spotted at around 11.30 pm. After being taken to the hospital he was declared dead. He was booked under IPC section 354 & relevant sections of POCSO Act.
