Cricketer Nishant Singh Shekhawat has been arrested by the Karnataka Police in connection with the alleged Karnataka Premier League match-fixing case. The Joint Commissioner of Police Sandeep Patil told the media that Nishant was in contact with bookies and had approached Bangalore Blasters team bowling coach Vinu Prasad to fix players. Shekhawat is accused of fixing a KPL match between Bangalore and Belgavi in 2018 for Rs. 5 lakh.
