According to interim Prime Minister Claude Joseph, Haiti's President Jovenel Mossé was assassinated in an attack on his private house. He said that about 01:00 a.m. local time, unidentified armed individuals attacked the president's house in Port-au-Prince. The First Lady was allegedly hurt in the incident as well. Jovenel Mose, 53, has been in charge since February 2017, following the resignation of his predecessor, Michel Martelly.
