‘Industrial Athlete' is Amazon's newest phrase for 'overworked' personnel

Amazon advises its warehouse workers to think of themselves as "industrial athletes," rather than overworked cogs. It's a rather ironic term for a firm infamous for abusing Worker rights. In 2020, Amazon employees had double the number of major injuries as the rest of the warehousing sector, which is actually an improvement, as bad as it sounds. Many workers were even denied Bathroom breaks, claimed a worker interviewed by Motherboard
