In what could be called a really shameful record, the National Commission for Women received 2,043 complaints of crimes committed against women in June. This number was the highest in the last eight months. As per the records, 452 complaints of domestic violence were received in June alone. 603 complaints related to mental and emotional abuse were filed under the 'right to live with dignity' clause.
