70 to 80 Hindu houses were vandalised in Bangladesh's northeastern Sylhet division after a Hindu village in the region was attacked by a mob of Islamic extremists. Several thousand followers of Hefazat-e-Islam’s leader Mamunul Haque stormed the Hindu village in Shalla upazila of Sunamganj district after a social media post by a youth from the minority Hindu community. Several Hindus fled the village to save their lives.
