Nigeria state police said that nearly 100 cattle thieves on motorcycles opened fire on the worshipers at a mosque, killing 5 of them while kidnapping 18 others. The incident happened at a mosque in remote Dutsen Gari village in the Maru district where worshipers had gathered to observed their weekly Friday prayers. The mosque's imam was also killed by the bandits. Locals claim that more than 30 people have been kidnapped.
