Gunmen kill 18 people at mosque in northern NIgeria

At least 18 worshippers were shot dead by gunmen at a mosque in northern Nigeria while they were offering the early morning prayers. The gunmen attacked the mosque in Mazakuka village in Mashegu local government area. "The gunmen came around the mosque and started shooting them," Alhassan Isah, chairman of Mashegu local government area said. The attackers are believed to be ethnic Fulani nomadic herders.
