The self-styled godman was accused of rape and was a suspect in the death of a disciple. According to Gujarat police, Nithyananda fled the country on an expired passport. Earlier this month, another disciple registered a complaint against him claiming that four of his daughters went missing from Nithyananda's ashram. Now the godman has released a clip where he claimed that he 'has been framed' for the crimes.
