French priest on trial, accused of sexually abusing 75 boys

Bernard Preynat, a former French priest has been accused of sexually abusing 75 boys when he used to work as their scout chaplain in the 1970s and 1980s. The 74-year-old is now on trial in Lyon and this is France’s worst clergy abuse drama to hit the court till now. Church hierarchy is also suspected of covering up Bernard Preynat’s actions for years. The repercussions have already reached all the way to the Vatican.
