Former Jalandhar Bishop Franco Mulakkal, the accused in the Kerala nun rape case, has tested positive for the novel coronavirus. A court issued a non-bailable warrant yesterday against Mulakkal in connection with the rape case. Mulakkal’s PRO Father Peter claimed that Mulakkal is not well. Mulakkal is self quarantining and failed to appear before the Kerala court. He also missed the previous hearing on July 1.
