Ex-governor reveals he paid $2 Million bribe to secure 2016 Olympic games in city

Former Rio de Janeiro governor Sergio Cabral revealed to a judge that he helped pay $2 Million bribe to secure the Olympics games for the Brazilian city in 2016. He also revealed that the payment was made to secure votes in the decision-making meeting in 2009 and the then chairman of the Brazilian Olympic Committee, Carlos Nuzman, handled the negotiations. Cabral is currently serving a 200-year sentence for several corruption cases.
