A male tiger's carcass was found on the outskirts of Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve in Assam. The carcass was found with a bullet wound. Forest personnel spotted the carcass near Japoripathar, Karuabari area at 7:10 am. A forest official said the tiger died due to a bullet wound that is suspected to have been fired "to scare away the tiger from the public area." The tiger was nearly 10 years of age.
