According to the call records of Bengaluru riots accused and former mayor Sampath Raj of the Congress Party, he was constantly in touch with the SDPI leaders who have been arrested before and during the riots. The Central Crime Branch has named Sampath Raj as one of the key conspirators in the incident. The agency has named a total of 60 people and non-bailable warrants have been issued against Congress' Sampath Raj and Zakir.
