Bengal assistant sub-inspector arrested for stealing 18 licensed firearms deposited by citizens

An assistant sub-inspector of Bengal police stole eighteen licensed firearms deposited by citizens at Lalgarh police station in Bengal’s Jhargram. The sub-inspector named Tarapada Tudu was arrested and remanded in police custody for five days by the assistant chief judicial magistrate of Jhargram on Wednesday afternoon. Lakshmiram Rana, a jawan of the national volunteer force and 2 villagers were also arrested.
