Assam Police arrest mother-son duo for running illegal kidney racket

A mother and son have been arrested by the police in Assam’s Morigaon district for running an illegal kidney racket. The two were arrested on the basis of a complaint filed by a person whose kidney was sold as part of the racket. The due promised the man to give a sum of Rs. 6 lakh for his kidney but gave just Rs. 50,000. "We have come across at least six other persons who have been duped by this racket,” a cop said.
