Hours after the UP Anti-Terrorism Squad nabbed two terrorists linked with Al Qaeda's Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind, a high alert was issued in parts of the state as 5 terrorists managed to flee. According to Prashant Kumar, ADG (Law and Order), the terrorists were planning to "unleash terror activities before August 15 in different cities of the state". They were planning to use "human bombs" to target crowded areas.
