An airstrike hit a detention centre which has left at least 40 people dead in the suburb of the Libyan capital, Tripoli, where 80 people have been wounded. The conflict is part of the ongoing chaos in the oil and gas producing nation since the overthrow of Muammar Gaddafi in 2011. The Tripoli-based govt has blamed the airstrike on the "war criminal Khalifa Haftar". The UN refugee condemned the action.
