While the Biden administration has urged the US court to allow the extradition of Tahawwur Rana, the accused in the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks, to India, he is likely to remain in US jail. An extradition hearing was held at the request of India in the court of magistrate judge Jacqueline Chooljian in LA, which Rana attended in person. The defense attorneys and prosecutors have been ordered to file additional documents by July 15.
