145 honour killing incidents happened in the country between 2017 and 2019: Centre tells Lok Sabha

Union Minister of State for Home Ajay Kumar Mishra informed the Lok Sabha that as many as 145 incidents of "honour killing" took place in India between 2017 and 2019. 50 of these cases were reported in Jharkhand. Mishra said while replying to a written question related to honour killings, that 92 incidents of honour killing took place in the country in 2017, 29 in 2018 and 24 in 2019. 19 cases were reported in Maharashtra.
