A massive coronavirus relief package worth $1.9 trillion was passed by the US House of Representatives on Saturday. Under the new relief package, the minimum wages will be raised to $15 an hour. "The American people need to know that their government is there for them," House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said. The bill got cleared in the House on a party-line vote of 219 to 212. The bill will now be moved to the Senate for approval.
