WTO has authorised China to impose tariffs on US imports worth $3.6 billion annually in a long dispute over anti-dumping practices. It is the first time the WTO has authorised China to slap tariffs in a trade dispute. China sought WTO's permission to hit the US with more than $7 billion in tariffs. But the WTO ruling said it had found that the illegal US anti-dumping practices caused the nullification of benefits to China.
