WhatsApp payments service doesn't comply with the norms: RBI

Whatsapp payment service continues to be in trouble for not complying with the data localization norm. RBI has informed the Supreme Court that Whatsapp is storing various payment data outside India. Hence the National Payments Corporation of India's CEO has been directed to not to allow Whatsapp Pay to launch its full-scale operations in India. Recently, Whatsapp said that the issue of non-compliance has been settled.
