US to de-list Chinese firms that fail accounting standards in 2022

Amid the ongoing tussle between the US government and the Chinese government, US Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin has said that Chinese companies and companies from other countries that fail to comply with accounting standards will be delisted from US stock exchanges as of the end of 2021. Mnuchin asserted that the standards will prompt China to call for frank dialogue. He said this during a White House briefing.
