US, China hold talks on trade conflict

US and Chinese trade representatives held talks over key issues of the ongoing trade conflict. The two sides reached consensus on the resolution of significant issues, and have agreed to continue the talk on the rest of the issues in the first phase of the agreement and consultation. The latest trade conflict on September 1 saw a 10-15% increase in tariffs from Washington on Chinese imports worth $112 billion.
