Coal India unit Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd (MCL) lost Rs.2.7 crore after a goat's death. How? The coal transportation at Talcher coalfields came to a halt after locals from a nearby village protested against the killing of a goat in an accident in a prohibited mining zone. Operations were halted for three hours and resumed only after police intervened. A spokesperson said people trespass which leads to many problems.
