Telecoms pay over Rs 8,000 crore to government in dues; DoT to enquire about AGR

Vodafone Idea, Bharti Airtel and Reliance Jio paid cumulative over Rs 6,000 crore to the government towards deferred spectrum dues. The Department of Telecom has also decided to ask questions to all the telecom giants regarding AGR that is adjusted gross revenue which will be assessed by firms and its own calculations. Vodafone Idea paid ₹3,042 crore, Reliance Jio ₹1,053 crore, and Bharti Airtel ₹1,950 crore to settle dues.
