Tata Sons moved the top court today, challenging the reappointment of Cyrus Mistry as the executive chairman of the group by company law tribunal NCLAT last month. The National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) restored Mistry as the executive chairman of Tata Sons on December 18, three years after his dramatic sacking at a board meeting. Ratan Tata took over as interim chairman after Mistry was sacked.
