Equity benchmarks Sensex and Nifty extended their gains and were trading over 800 points higher in mid-session deals on Tuesday, as Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman wrapped her Budget speech. The 30-share Sensex was trading 879.62 points higher at 58,893.79, and the broader Nifty rose 234.70 points or 0.95 per cent to 17,574.55.
