Sensex, Nifty end at record highs for third day

Thursday saw the BSE Sensex and the Nifty closing at a record-high level for the third day as IT and auto stocks enjoyed some buying fortune. Sensex came to a close at 41,673.92, 115.35 points or 0.28% higher while the NSE benchmark Nifty stood at 0.31% or 38.05 points higher at 12,259.70. Earlier in the day Sensex witnessed an all-time high of 41,719.29 and the Nifty touched a record-high level of 12,268.35.
