Sensex crosses 41,000-mark, Nifty at lifetime high of 12,130

Sensex witnessed positive growth once again and crossed the 41,000-mark for the first time ever. Sensex jumped 218 points or 0.53% to 41,108 in early trade. On the other hand, NSE Nifty surged 56 points or 0.47% to attain a lifetime peak of 12,130. Bharti Airtel, PowerGrid, L&T and TCS fell as much as 2.71%. The stocks of Yes Bank, ICICI Bank, Tata Steel, ONGC, SBI, Asian Paints and Sun Pharma rose as much as 2.83%.
