Indian telecom sector is going through a rough period with operators like Vodafone and Idea on the verge of shutting down. Speaking about the crisis, Bharti Airtel CEO Sunil Mittal said, "The situation is dire — it is a matter of survival for everyone. Vodafone (Idea) is in losses, Airtel is in losses, (sate-owned) BSNL (Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd) is in losses. There is one competitor who has unlimited access to finances."
