Reliance Communications withdraws Financial Times $1.1 billion defamation case

The court granted a refund of its court fees in line with the rules of the case

Reliance Communications by Anil Ambani has taken away a $1.1 billion civil defamation lawsuit against the London-based Financial Times. The firm filed a lawsuit against two reporters of the Financial Times for their articles on the difficulties faced by Anil Ambani’s businesses, in an Ahmedabad court on January 30, 2018. The court granted a refund of its court fees in line with the rules of the case.
