PSB's health restored, 13 banks report profit: FM Nirmala Sitharaman

The Finance Ministry reported on Saturday that the health of public sector banks, which have been reeling under non-performing assets for the last few years, has been restored. It also said that a total of 13 banks have reported profits in the first half of the current fiscal. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said at a public meet that the steps taken by the government have helped bring the banks back to shape.
