PNB scam: Fugitive jeweller Mehul Choksi booked by CBI in 3 fresh cases of Rs 6,700-Cr bank loan fraud

Fugitive businessman Mehul Choksi has been booked by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in three fresh cases of bank loan fraud. As per an Indian Express report, Choksi has now been accused of defrauding and diverting loan funds to the tune of over Rs 6,700 crore. The said loans were granted by a consortium led by the Punjab National Bank (PNB) and ICICI Bank.
