Period Leave: Zomato launches period leave for staff to combat menstruation stigma

Food delivery firm Zomato has declared up to 10 days of 'period leave' per year to its female employees as a part of its effort to combat stigma about menstruation. Zomato's CEO Deepinder Goyal said that there shouldn't be any shame attached while applying for a period leave & should freely tell about period leave on emails/internal groups. Many women still face discrimination in India due to lack of awareness about periods.
