According to Reuters, SoftBank is reorganising its robotics division and halting the manufacturing of its Pepper robot. SoftBank intends to lay off 330 employees in France, the base of SoftBank's robotics operations, as well as half of the division's sales team in the United Kingdom and the United States. Pepper robot production was apparently suspended last year, and restarting it would be expensive, according to sources.
