Paytm ditched RuPay to move on to Visa

Paytm payments bank is also the largest issuer of RuPay debit cards in India. However, in their latest move Paytm has announced that they are now issuing Visa cards and their target is to reach one crore in this year. Government has recently barred the banks from recovering any fees from merchants accepting RuPay cards. Paytm spokesperson said that the change would benefit their millions of customers.
