'Pay monthly else will cut fuel supply': Oil majors issue an ultimatum to Air India

PSU oil majors- IOCL, BPCL & HPCL issued an ultimatum to Air India, asking it to make a monthly lump sum payment by Oct 18 or else they will cut fuel supply at 6 major airports. They earlier said that AI owed Rs 5000 crore in unpaid fuel bills with payments being delayed by almost 8 months. On Aug 22, the 3 oil majors had stopped fuel supplies at 6 airports-Kochi, Mohali, Pune, Patna, Ranchi & Vizag over payment defaults.
