Ordering a gift from Club Factory or Shein may not pass through the customs in India

A new amendment has been implemented to India's foreign trade policy to restrict companies like SheIn, Club factory or Ali Express from underbilling items to get them to pass through without paying the import duty. Till now such items were exempted from scrutiny but not anymore. The new regulations will apply to all e-commerce companies in the hope to curb the tax-evasive practices of the Chinese platforms.
