NSE resumes after technical glitch, Trading hours extended till 5 PM today

After halting trade on all segments following a technical glitch at around 11.40 AM, the National Stock Exchange (NSE) re-opened at around 3.45 PM. The glitch in the index price feed forced NSE to halt the trading across the equity and equity futures and option segments. The NSE and BSE will now remain open till 5 PM today. As the NSE resumed, Nifty traded at 14,769, up 61 points or 0.41% while Sensex zoomed 545 points to 50,296.
