The trade war between the US and China is expected to worsen as a new bill has been passed by the US House of Representatives that could close US stock and money markets to Chinese firms. The bill introduced in 2019 by Louisiana Republican Senator John Kennedy would make it mandatory for foreign companies listed on US stock exchanges to comply with accounting requirements of the US Securities and Exchange Commission.
