Netflix shares drop 23% after losing 200K subscribers in first quarter

Global streaming giant Netflix on Tuesday reported losing subscribers for the first time in more than a decade. Following this, the company's stock plunged 23% in after-market trading. Netflix reportedly lost 200,000 subscribers in its first quarter of 2022. The company told its shareholders it expected to add 2.5 million net subscribers during the first quarter, compared with 4 million in the same quarter a year ago.
