Microsoft Japan brings 4-Day Work Week, Productivity rises by 40%

Japan has a reputation for having a terrible work-life which leads to death, known as karoshi that claimed 191 lives in 2016. As per reports, over a 5th of Japanese employees are at risk due to over 80 hours of overtime a month, usually unpaid. Microsoft Japan now addresses this issue & is giving 2300 employees every Friday off in addition to weekends. The outcome shows a 39.9% jump in workers' productivity over time.
