Malaysia has rejected a compensation offer of "less than USD 2 billion" from Goldman Sachs for the role of its subsidiaries in the multi-billion-dollar 1MDB scandal. The information about the refusal of the offer was made public by one of the Prime Minister's aide. 1MDB is the Malaysian state fund from which, a huge amount of money was stolen. Former Prime Minister Najib Razak and his cronies were allegedly involved in the fraud.
