Loan moratorium may get extended for 2 years

The Supreme Court was informed by the centre today that loan moratorium period can be extended by two years according to the Reserve Bank of India's circular. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta said entre, RBI and bankers association will sit together to decide whether interest during the moratorium period will be waived off or not. The Solicitor General added that the economy is stressed due to a plunge of 23% in the GDP.
